Dear Friends,
While much of the world is still reeling from Saturday’s dramatic Airlink flypast over DHL Stadium in Green Point, we remain remarkably relaxed as we prepare for our 47th Annual General Meeting.
After all, a couple of aircraft flying low over a stadium are unlikely to distress South Africans.
We were particularly impressed by comedian Anton Taylor’s take on the drama. Anton, who will entertain us at this year’s AGM, reckons that we are simply built differently at the southern tip of Africa. Here we negotiate taxis every day and handle rolling load-shedding as though it is nothing out of the ordinary.
The jets went low and the world took fright. Anton’s response? We can go lower…
We are delighted that Anton will entertain us following the Exporters Western Cape AGM on Wednesday, 9 September.
Once the formal proceedings have concluded, join us for an evening of networking, drinks, snacks and distinctly South African laughter because that is something we do particularly well!
Tickets for the post-AGM event cost R400 per person, inclusive of drinks, snacks and Anton’s performance.
Please find the AGM invitation and supporting documents attached. We encourage you to share the invitation with your industry contacts and help us make this our best-attended AGM after-party yet.
We look forward to seeing you there.
