The good news this week is that our October function is hot off the press and invitations will be in your inbox shortly.
The even better news is that we are hosting Rico Basson, the recently appointed CEO of SA Wine, the newly created non- profit organisation, who will be telling us how to discover diversity in a glass of the good stuff!
This is one event not to be missed whether a wine lover or not, but then who isn’t in the Cape?!
In view of the recent delays experienced by the port, not only wind but equipment challenges, however, we have the authority’s word that the equipment challenges are being met as 7 new RTG’s are on the water as well as the new hydraulic units.
These are all planned to be in place between end October and end November resulting by the coming deciduous season, the PoCT will be able to handle the anticipated growth in this market.
As Exporters Western Cape we are here to ensure Western Cape Government’s goal of this becoming a trillion-rand industry within a few years, so please ensure you are on board.
The stats for the week 02 – 08/10 are not a true reflection of the PoCT’s potential – we will not be sharing these with you, however are available on request.
This is the challenge to our port and terminals, to ensure the continued path of improved stats for this week and beyond!
