Exporters Western Cape marked an important milestone with its 47th Annual General Meeting, bringing members and industry stakeholders together to reflect on the year behind us and look ahead to the opportunities and challenges facing the export community.
The AGM confirmed the EWC leadership team for the 2026/27 year, with Terry Gale reappointed as Chairman and Deon Theron appointed as Vice-Chairman. Kevin Melnick also joined the EWC Committee, while members formally considered the Chairman’s report, financial statements and treasurer’s report.
With international trade facing continued uncertainty and change, the evening reinforced the importance of having a united industry voice and a platform where exporters can connect, share knowledge and support one another.
Following the formal proceedings, members were treated to performances by comedians Anton Taylor and Jam Jam, before enjoying an evening of drinks, snacks and networking. The lighter side of the evening offered a welcome reminder of the importance of connection, laughter and finding moments of optimism, even during challenging times.
EWC would like to thank all our members and guests for their continued support and for contributing to another successful AGM.
As we begin the 2026/27 year, we look forward to building on this strong foundation, strengthening connections and continuing to champion the Western Cape exporting community.
