Dear Friends

In view of the troubled world in which we live, Exporters Western Cape want to reiterate our commitment to our province and city, this is our home and proudly so!

We will continue to support new developments that can enhance our status globally,

These include, inter alia, the Cape Winelands Airport, the Culemborg precinct, the SkyTrain, CTCT upgrade increasing capacity, upgrading our rail network, Social Housing in the CBD, improvement of road infrastructure, accessibility, a welcoming end safe environment for all.

As FDI is vital for our Western Cape economy, we support and encourage international investors, we are already engaging with Global partners on this, a case in point our Hong Kong evening on 5th February, looking at both export into Hong Kong and investment from Hong Kong, being one of the top 3 Global Financial hubs..

We are not just Exporters Western Cape, we chair the Port Liaison Forum (PLF) of Cape Chamber, and a Council member; engage with DoT being on the committee of the Port Consultative Committee (PCC); Director of HKSACC (Hong Kong/SA Chamber of Commerce); meet quarterly with the CoCT as a member of the LTAB (Land Transport Advisory Board) – if we did not represent YOU on these various bodies, who would be your independent voice?

We cannot afford to rest on our laurels – even the status of CTIA is under threat as Africa’s best – just look to Addis Ababa and the new Zaha Hadid- designed billion-dollar new airport

The rest of South Africa is envious of what our province and EWC has achieved, and rightly so- after 46 years, we remain the independent voice of the Western Cape Exporter (& more!)and hopefully for many more years to come!

Thank you for your continual support as we face the future together!

See you on the 5th February!

In gratitude

Terry
