As you are well aware, CTCT has been heavily impacted by winds over the past week, resulting in the terminal being windbound for over 113 hours in week 10 – 16 February
CTCT has put in place a recovery plan, effective immediately, with a target of 2300 TEU p/day to alleviate the current berthing delays, resulting in 11 vessels being at anchorage, being reduced to 7 by the endo the week.
The plan is to have the terminal back to full operations, by Wednesday, 5th March, weather permitting and berthing vessels on arrival.
To achieve this, we need all stakeholders to be on board and where possible, utilise the night runs or Belcon, utilise your allocated slots when using the truck booking system and together we ensure the smooth flow of containers through CTCT.
TNPA is pushing out all the stops, also working CTMPT as a back-up and bringing extra teams on board.
For ease of reference, please find anchorage status letter.
We are better together!!!!.
