Our final EWC gathering of the year delivered a warm, relaxed close to 2025 — a refreshing change that prioritised networking, connection, and collaboration.
We were honoured to host USCG, Enterprise Florida, and Allison Aerias, reinforcing the long-standing ties between South Africa and Florida.
Terry reflected on the strong partnerships built over the years — including early collaborations with the Port of Miami — and highlighted Cape Town’s continued growth, now recognised among the world’s top ten most visited cities. He also encouraged members to explore the SkyTrak transport proposal, which could support future major opportunities for the city.
We also heard from Abigail Hillery of Enterprise Florida, who shared Florida’s impressive economic scale and the many avenues it offers for South African companies looking toward the U.S. market. Her remarks underscored the depth of institutional, commercial, and cultural links between our regions.
