WRAPPING UP A FRUITFUL YEAR – CHEERS TO 2023!

As we bid farewell to another remarkable year, we are delighted to celebrate the overwhelming turnout at our final event for the year.
We had the privilege of hosting Ilse van Schalkwyk and her team, who shared invaluable insights into the Western Cape Government’s plans for fostering growth in the exporters’ sector, particularly through their impactful G4J (Growth for Jobs) initiative. Both Ilse and Glen provided enlightening perspectives on nurturing our economy and the pivotal role the exporting sector plays.
John Lawson, representing Cape Chambers, exemplified the strength of collaboration in unlocking opportunities. Delving into their approach of building networks among industry stakeholders and, through these networks, how they seamlessly connect those in need with the right people to address their challenges.
Last but certainly not least, Transnet’s Port Manager, Rajesh Dana, addressed recent challenges regarding the ports, assuring us that it remains a top priority. Rajesh, along with Transnet, upholds a transparent policy, inviting all exporters to join their daily dashboard. Gaining profound insights into the current state of affairs at the Cape Town port, a critical concern that has rightfully garnered attention. He spoke candidly about both their challenges and their triumphs.
As we conclude this year, we extend warm wishes to all our members for a merry festive season and a happy New Year. We eagerly anticipate welcoming you all back in 2024 for another successful year together!
