Yes, it’s that time of week again and the best news of all is that the taxi strike is over!
A word of appreciation and gratitude to the City of Cape Town and Western Cape Government for their proactive stance on bringing this to a relatively peaceful conclusion.
We need only to glance back to KZN in July 2021 to acknowledge the enormity of this and what could have been, yet through negotiation was not!
Yesterday afternoon EWC was privy to an incredible experience of what our Western Cape exporters/manufacturers are achieving as we accompanied Alderman James Vos, head of Invest Cape Town, and Mayoral Committee member, Economic growth, to tour a local manufacturer and exporter of sustainable eco-friendly materials supplying the local market and growing a global footprint.
It is awe-inspiring to see what we can and do achieve and this is just one of many success stories. – we have another planned this afternoon, which we will focus on next week.
This is what Exporters Western Cape is all about – growing our global footprint for a better and sustainable future for all.
