Happy 2023 – may our economy boom through the growth of exports, an industry which has been acknowledged by the Western Cape Government as a great conduit for employment.
This morning we wrote to the President of our concerns of his visit to the WEF in Davos, as our beloved South Africa cannot even supply its citizens with electricity!
As outgoing Eskom CEO, Andre de Ruyter’s last in-person address was to Exporters Western Cape in November 2022 – we feel privileged we had the opportunity to host this Gentleman and wish him well in his future endeavours.
The good news then is that the City of Cape Town and most Western Cape towns are not as severely affected by loadshedding as the rest of South Africa – just ask your friends and colleagues up north!
Exporters Western Cape will continue on its quest to support our export industry in any which we can and attract FDI into our region.
We remain your voice of the export industry
Please note from Friday 20th we will be back to providing the weekly terminal stack updates on the GNF!
Our 1st function for 2023 is on Wednesday 25th January focusing on increasing trade with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – see you then! (invites are in their way to your inbox)
