The 2-week hiatus has meant this week’s GNF has even better news than normal!

After our Port Manager implemented the Port Recovery Plan on 16th March, there is a noticeable improvement in productivity with the past 2 weeks results reflecting this – well done to the Transnet team!

Let’s move forward together!

Week 03 – 09/04:

The port handled 103 vessel movements, 35 incoming, 41 departures & 27 shifting;

CTCT:  18399 TEU handled; 4.5 hour delay due to vessel ranging as short tension units only working at 602 & 604, 601 not alongside as yet but in the pipeline, however, no wind delays!  Plus 8- hour delay awaiting load approval from shipping line.
403 Rail moves,  only 8% night utilisation mainly due to the long Easter weekend

CTMPT:  2636 TEU handled out of target of 1331 forecast; no vessel delays or equipment challenges

FPT: Berth Occupancy: 41% ; 7 Vessels handled : 1 Dry Bulk; 1 B/B; 1 Multi Cargo; 1 container; 3 Lay by: 1175 TEU; Dry Bulk : 18805 MT; B/B : 4542 MT

FPEF:  Deciduous fruit coming to an end; apples & pears currently being handled prior to citrus season beginning soon
