Dear Colleagues

Our thoughts are with those who were affected by the flooding and resultant power outage in the Helderberg region.
Good for the dams and the agricultural industry so let’s look on the bright side of this!

A new era dawns this week as our GNF will now be GNT – Good News Thursday as our weekly TNPA stakeholders meeting is now every Wednesday, to ensure the information we share is hot of the press, we will circulate this every Thursday.

This scribe was privileged to be one of the stakeholders in attendance at the Extreme Wind Disruption seminar on Tuesday and we must thank Dr Neville Sweijd, Director of ACCESS, for facilitating this incredible meeting of like-minded persons with a passion for resolving problems such as these.
From the cross section of attendees and the energy in the room, it garners much hope for our future.

With that in mind, it brings us to National Government’s stance on AGOA – the least said the better! Thankfully Premier Winde is currently in Washington DC keeping the Western Cape flag flying high and of course, with 100% support and endorsement from EWC!
FYG we are addressing our concerns, as EWC, with Ministers Pandor & Patel and directly with US Government, being privy to the letter addressed to Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
