Happy Mandela Day!

It’s time to reflect on the 31 years of our democracy and appreciate how far we’ve come in some ways and not so much in others!...

It’s time to reflect on the 31 years of our democracy and appreciate how far we’ve come in some ways and not so much in others!

Who would think that Brand South Africa would be playing host to the G20 in 2025? We successfully hosted the 2010 World Cup while the world watched in awe, including the naysayers at what we achieved.

Not quite on the field however, but how we built the infrastructure to play host, even our rail system worked well, our airports functioned at the optimum and we truly remained the Rainbow Nation.

Let’s build on that and the now the GNU provides that opportunity with new energy and fulfilling the promise of a democratic nation.

The breaking news is that President Trump will not be attending our function on the 22nd, however we have now extended the invitation to the White House, to provide the keynote address at our AGM in September, so watch this space!

In lieu of this, Minister of Agriculture, John Steenhuisen,  will be providing feedback on the engagement in the White House on 21st May and how we can, as South Africans, embrace the challenges we face.

As the full house signs are almost up for the 22nd , please ensure you RSVP now!

On an industry note, the PoCT has been exceeding its targets at all 3 terminals and the utilization of A Berth as a complimentary all-purpose facility is coming to fruition.

Our 9 new RTGs will be handed over on the 25th July, and the next 9 are on the water, this will have a positive impact on productivity at CTCT, now we need to focus on the truck booking system.

Should you be interested in receiving the port stats, please droop me an email, or WhatsApp.

See you on Tuesday!
