Dear Friends
As we celebrate the 69th anniversary of the 20000 women who marched on the Union Buildings, it is time to thank the women in logistics, who have played such a pivotal role, in transforming the industry.
The following names immediately come to mind, Advocate Phyllis Difeto, Acting CEO of TNPA; Michelle Phillips, Group CEO, Transnet; Ophelia Shabane, Port Manager, PoCT; Minister of Transport, Barbara Creecy; Selma Schwartz-Clausen, Head, PCC & NPCC Secretariat, SAMSA; Juanita Maree, CEO, SAAFF amongst a host of others.
Women have certainly changed the playing field and are in top positions in many of our larger corporations, or started their own businesses – we salute you all!
Thank you for changing the landscape of our country and adding value to the supply chain and its demands.
