Dear Colleagues
Hong Kong & the GBA awaits!
On my recent visit to Hong Kong in December, and doing a spot check with local business, noted that South Africa, and Western Cape, in particular, does not feature high on their radar, in fact the only products from SA were blueberries and a few bottles of wine at M&S!
This trajectory must change, in particular with President Trump in the White House, we need to look at new and growing markets.
With the planned expansion of the Northern Territories, which will increase the population from the current 7.5m, to over 11m within the foreseeable future – think of all the grapes they can eat, wine they can drink & blueberries for breakfast?!
Let’s be ‘voor op die wa’ and get our foot in the door now – this is not even taking cognisance of Hong Kong’s status as a global, financial hub, on a par with London and New York.
Come and hear how you can access this incredible, easy to trade market, at our next function on Wednesday, 12th March, when Daniel Lam, HKTDC Regional Director, Middle East & Africa, opens the door for trade.
Your personal invitation is attached….
As always get your RSVP to: noreen@ewc.org.za Non-members welcome at R650 per person.
