Please find attached for your attention, the ROD for the 2026/27 Tariff Application as announced today.

“Dear PCC, NPCC and PCC Secretariate ,

On the 1st of August 2025 the National Ports Authority (NPA) submitted its annual Tariff Application to the Ports Regulator of South Africa (PRSA)  requesting an allowable revenue of R16 730m for the 2026/27 financial period resulting in an average tariff increase of 9,61% for the period 01 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, along with indicative tariffs increases of 9,61% for the period 01 April 2027 to 31 March 2028 and 9,61% for 01 April 2028 to 31 March 2029.

After reviewing the Application, stakeholder submissions, presentations in the public consultation process, and the updated inflation as per the Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS, November 2025), the Regulator applied the Tariff Methodology and Tariff Strategy to the Application and determined that an appropriate Revenue Requirement for the Authority to be R17 420m (inclusive of ETIMC of R800m), which translates to an overall weighted average tariff increase for the Financial Year (FY) 2026/27 of 7.57%.  Attached to this email is the full media statement .”
