This week we are going to focus on an incredible new development that will be a game changer and will have a positive impact on the lives of every Capetonian by having a positive impact on our daily commute, however, it needs your support.
As many of you ask – why should I become a member of Exporters Western Cape, here is one of the many reasons why ……..
We are the ONLY independent non-profit, self-funded, non-partisan organization that engages with DoT, being a member of the PCC (Port Consultative Committee), a council member of Cape Chamber, being Chair the monthly PLF (Port Liaison Forum), Director of Hong Kong/SA Business Chamber (HKSACC) and also a member of the CoCT LTAB (Land Transport Advisory Board), and through this we are focusing on the following:
How many of you sit in traffic every day, or in a taxi, bumper to bumper on our ‘freeway’ system, that was built in the 1960’s and think there must be a better solution to this/
There is and its cleaner, safer and more user friendly and that is the train!
Fortunately, PRASA is coming to the party with getting the suburban lines up and running and ultimately the City plans to take this over and combine all public transport systems.
This does not address the vital link between CTIA and the CBD and this is where the proposed Skytrain comes into focus, with the initial concept from the airport, via the City Bowl, to a terminus in Three Anchor Bay
As a member of the LTAB, we endorse this phenomenal project and am sharing with you some links to see what the future can look like!
