Dear Western Cape Stakeholder,
The Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic) in partnership with City of Cape Town and Wesgro, invite you to an awareness workshop on the “Implementation and Operationalization of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement”.
The purpose of the workshop is to apprise South African companies and export ready SMME’s on the benefits of trading under the AfCFTA, which intends to create a single continental market with a population of about 1.3 billion people and a combined Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of approximately USD 3.4 trillion.
Why attend the workshop?
The AfCFTA offers enormous opportunities for South African companies to expand their export base and volume beyond traditional export markets by creating exposure for emerging producers, small and medium enterprises as well as women and youth entrepreneurs.
