This was the announcement by TNPA of the RFP that was published on Friday 17th and the comment “The successful bidder will have rights to operate the multipurpose terminal for 25 years”
The RFP is only for berths B, C & D – the area currently under lease to FPT – CTMPT is adjacent to the cruise terminal (E) and includes berths F & G, and therefore NOT an upgrade of CTMPT.

The news that the eviction of the homeless from Culemborg by the latest 30th September, has been approved by the courts, now paves the way for this strategic site to be developed by Transnet, as the landowner, into an exciting logistics hub.

• Fruit : Mid citrus season: Exports down by -1% compared to 24/25 season
Please note: EWC approached Minister Parks Tau at the end of June to address industry on the expiry of the Section 122 on 24th July and what action the DTIC was taking to ensure that we could return to trade duty free under the terms of AGOA.
As the Minister was unavailable to appreciate our concerns, President Trump has now invoked Section 301 of US Trade Act of 1974, which equates to 12.5% import duty on SA goods into the US!!
This is because of the ban on enforced labour practices which RSA is not adhering to!
However, the Minister is available in September when this matter will be pursued by EWC on your behalf,
