Dear colleagues and interested parties
We are sharing the latest version of the cargo report.
The following highlights are worth noting:
- TNPA: July update:
- Container throughput totalled 411,056 TEUs, which is down by -10% (m/m) and by -6% (y/y).
- Total bulk cargo totalled 18,929 million tonnes, which is down by -1% (m/m), but up by +11% (y/y).
- Vehicle throughput totalled 84,646 units, which is down by -3% (m/m), but up by +12% (y/y).
- DGT congestion current status:
- DGT is congested & constrained, as volumes dropped -26% (w/w). The terminal’s stacks are above 80%, which means that there is reduced yard fluidity contributing to vessel delays, with waiting times reaching 8–12 days.
- The key requirement remains close coordination, transparent communication and timely intervention across all operational interfaces, with a landside evacuation the current focus.
