We said it couldn't be done!! ...

Good morning, Colleagues

It’s been another great week for our terminals!

This time we need to share the good news far & wide that the PoCT is open for business – we spend too much dwelling on misinformation or negativity!

Let’s start with the terminal stats for week 19 – 25th January:

• CTCT: 17532 TEU handled 13373 Target; 19 GCH target 19: 39.1 SWH Target 40! 56.8 hours wind bound; Saturday 24th 4205 TEU handled; 22nd January 3715 TEU handled, 23rd January 3663 TEU handled; 601 Rail moves*
• CTMPT :  1566 TEU handled 1728 target; 13 GCH target 16; 15 SWH target 19; stack occupancy 7% target 5%
• FPT :  88% Berth occupancy, 10 vessels handled: 3 container, 5 Multi cargo, B/B 1, 1 rejected; 1707 TEU handled, B/B General Cargo 3076.76 MT; B/B Fruit 8882 pallets

• Equipment : 8 STS  30 RTGs

*Well done, CTCT on another exemplary performance, let’s keep this up!

** Please note due to wind delays in PoCT,  containers were moved to PE/NCT hence why the increase of 224% from the previous season.

On Monday, EWC was privileged to co-host a French delegation from Credit Agricole Languedoc, Board of Directors on a visit to Indigo Berry Farm in Wellington and what an interesting afternoon that was.

Thank you to Andy Connell of United Exports and Stephan Badenhorst of Indigo Farms, for your hospitality and wealth of information shared.

I certainly look at Blueberries in a different light now appreciating the growing process and care taken – a world class operation we can be proud of.

Two reasons to share with the world the Global South can do it!

Let’s keep moving forward!!! In search of continual Growth!

Kind Regards

Sincerely

Terry
